Responsible for the day to day operation and maintenance of the organization’s financial reporting for Revenue and Cost of Goods Sold and the resulting Gross Margin. The position provides leadership for all Gross Margin needs across the organization.Essential Responsibilities:- Provide leadership, development, and support of the gross margin needs, including infrastructure necessary to support performance reporting and reporting automation.- Partner with Product Team for pricing and gross margin planning for effective execution of the financial and profitability plans of the Company’s product lines. - Develop best practices around gross margin analysis to ensure that the results help drive performance and improve accuracy of inputs into the financial plan.- Develop and standardize gross margin tools and processes, building in updates and enhancements as required and troubleshooting issues and questions.- Engage as primary internal resource and expert of gross margin across all key stakeholder groups, including acting as decision maker on Trade quotes within developed framework and supporting any other margin data requests.- Ensure financial gross margin objectives inherent in financial plans are consistent with underlying strategic and operational Margin Target plans.- Perform financial analysis and engage with the Operations team to contribute toward controlling costs within the margin landscape.- Periodically review standard costs, research inaccuracies/fluctuations- Perform overhead cost allocation process- Produce operational reports of performance measures and metrics for management, including commentary.- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Marketing and IT & Reporting to ensure accurate reporting of Gross Margin and Inventory.

Perform sales and operations analysis to help implement more convenient, reliable and scalable reporting for a constantly growing and evolving business. Work cross-functionally with other departments (IT, Supply Chain, Sales, etc) to ensure accuracy of ERP system and Data Warehouse information used to build various reports. Create weekly and monthly refresh-able dashboards for sales, inventory, cycle counting, and other business operations.Diagnose and correct inaccuracies in reports and dashboards to ensure accurate and reliable information for the receivers of said reports and dashboards.
