Lead for all Sales and Marketing functions and execution for a small highly technical frequency converter business. Working to find solutions for customer needs through standard products and assisting with rapidly engineered solutions.

Responsible for managing the OEM SATCOM terminal product line strategy, developing product roadmaps, understanding customer demands and executing a product plan that enabled sales objectives to be attained within Honeywell's Aerospace division of the corporation. I provide product plans and obtain funding for product developments, upgrades and extensions through the support of the Business Units Technical Sales and Customer Business teams. My role is to focus on the customers feedback/demands (VOC), while seeking to exploit additional opportunities for using these products in adjacent markets, growing sales in current markets and improving our customers experience with our products (through observing their experience with the products in their factory and in the field), our ability to respond to their needs and for supporting them throughout the life cycle of these products.

Johnson joined EMS in 1982 and held roles in the company serving in engineering, program management, operations and the business leadership team. Most often the key focus in these roles was focused on execution and improvements within the operational structure (efficiency and growth) of that organization.Johnson served as VP Business Development and provided oversight into the creation of new strategic business plans related to the product-focused direction for the organization. During that time, the division entered new, rapidly growing markets and maintained consistent sales levels, despite the dramatic reductions in defense spending.Prior to leading the BD group, Johnson served as VP of Engineering and VP of Product Development, overseeing 130+ employees in engineering and manufacturing.In 2002, Johnson was appointed as the business area manager and VP for EMS D&S’s Space Electronics business. Under his 3 year leadership, the business area increased its orders from $600K to more than $20M and transformed this portion of the business to account for nearly 50% of the overall sales within the division. Johnson’s early engineering and operations assignments led to significant improvements in EMS’s quality and performance. He was instrumental in the institution of metrics, operational structure changes and modified processes for the division. During an 18+ year series of engineering management roles, Johnson initiated the use of ASIC technologies. Johnson drove the expansion of EMS’s product lines (incorporating digital and processor based functions into RF systems) as well as generating the first documentation and release of the company’s processes for its initial ISO certification.Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
