Ensure the proficient management and operation of the Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department to include: program spending levels. Recruit, manage, develop and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, training and performance management. Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy. Administer the home energy assistance program in accordance with funding requirements. Act as a liaison between the home heating assistance program and other social service agencies to provide proper assistance to the community.Work directly with the Division Director & Finance in preparing payments related to heating assistance.Develop a strong professional relationship the vendors contractually associated with the program. Act as an “Appeal Officer” in determining the eligibility of clients denied initial entry into the program. Prepare monthly reporting to funding sources.
