At Pilgrim, I use Google docs daily and have gained basic skill at Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. The congregation has been most appreciative of inspiring PowerPoints that I create and present each week, collaborating with the pastor and music ministers to enhance the worship experience. The PowerPoints are rich with graphics to illustrate the message for the day, along with fly-in text and video clips. The announcements presentation is automatically timed, and loops continuously. My position has evolved to Volunteer Coordinator to recruit and supervise / mentor four MSU interns. This allows me to delegate some responsibilities in the areas of event coordination, video production, public relations, and social media. I am also training Pilgrims in technical and computer skills. This adds to my record of empowering people to achieve their highest potential. We are in the process of developing a Tumblr account. On some Sundays soon, I will facilitate a small group experience centered around inspirational readings. My training at Pilgrim has included WordPress and soundboard operation. I have learned to keystone our projector and install an Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS), along with printer drivers. As a disability rights activist, I derived considerable satisfaction and international recognition training human services professionals to provide excellent services to persons with non-apparent disabilities. I have often presented on assistive technology for persons with aging characteristics and non-apparent disabilities..

My courses were consistently oversubscribed and when I left, there was a waiting list for a course that had not yet been scheduled.Providence Services Corporation honored me in its company newsletter for the courses I taught, and the principles I taught empowered a state manager to negotiate for funding for a program from the state of Nevada. A physician at a prison in Georgia used my materials to train her staff.I also presented these materials at a university's Women's Day events and at two different statewide professional organizations.I started out as a half-time Case Manager in the Prisoner Re-Entry Program and half time as a GED tutor. As a result of my performance, the grantor tripled the size of our grant.I worked closely with Parole Agents, the support services worker, and other community providers, maintaining excellent communication and collaboration. I provided holistic services, helping clients connect with needed community resources in the months-long absence of a community supports worker. I set up a clubhouse for eligible parolees and recruited and trained two case aides from the client population. Show less
