I’ve been in the banking industry for more than 40 years, 25 of those years with First Community Bank of Texas. As a Senior Vice President and note department manager, it’s my job to know and understand all aspects of loan administration and loan servicing for consumer, commercial and real estate loans, and to oversee training and day-to-day management of our lending staff. WHAT I DOIn addition to staying abreast of new federal compliance regulations and safety and soundness issues related to lending, I’m responsible for:• Daily supervision and management of our lending staff, including training relating to federal regulatory compliance and changes in internal banking procedures• Preparing and providing all lending data reports to internal auditors, safety and soundness examiners and regulatory compliance examiners, working directly with them during audits and exams• Preparing and/or reviewing FFIEC Call Report loan schedules• Creating custom loan reports using our bank’s report writing software• Monitoring and performing vendor due diligence for loan products• Completing all necessary tasks associated with annual bank core upgrades ...
