The campus where I've been since 2011 was named in the top 100 community colleges in the entire country. I have taught Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 and currently teach Microsoft Office 2019. This position involves the preparation of syllabi, lesson plans, exams and grades. I have completed the required EDU250, as well as various LMS such as Blackboard Basics, Canvas, Wimba and teaching hybrid/online classes. I am also a CRLA Nationally Certified Tutor, specifically in the Writing Center working with students in multiple disciplines to improve their writing, editing and proofreading skills. I had the opportunity to study briefly with Gaylord Carter, who was the Music Director at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles in 1926 after having been discovered by comedian Harold Lloyd. What most people don’t know is that the majority of our volunteers have advanced degrees in music. So, this is truly a performing organization dedicated to the highest standards. Most of my life has been devoted to the study and performance of classical music. It has been truly thrilling to be on stage for the last 11 years with so many talented musicians! I recently decided to retire from this stellar group while I'm still at the top of my game, in the best voice of my life and having refined my musicianship. Music will always be essential, but it’s time for me to focus on other areas of my life.
