Most work was conducted at the Museo de Historia Natural, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.

Managed databases. Supervised accessions and cataloguing of fish lots and specimens. Coordinated the collection, fixation, and preservation of freshwater material including plankton, benthos and fish from lentic and lotic environments (sea level to 4000 masl). Prepared clear and stained specimens.

Project manager for the collection of data and organisms in aquatic systems by the Aquatic Ecosystems team for the Biodiversity Assessment and Long-term Monitoring of the Lower Urubamba Region, Perú - Phases IV-VI. Smithsonian Institution, Monitoring and Assessment of Biodiversity (now Center for Conservation and Sustainability). Supervised three senior and two junior environmental scientists. Organized logistics to collect data on environmental variables, water samples, fishes, and aquatic invertebrates. Analyzed data, wrote technical reports, and papers for publication.
