The ethos of the Practice arouse for the Principal Director background and training the Public Works Department in the 1970 and 1980’s. At its core the philosophy was that it was the responsibility of the architect to design facilities for the client body without fear or favour to provide the optimum solution to the requirement, within budget, and to provide the best possible facility so that the public service could be provided in the best possible facility.This I believe has been instilled into our practice as the architectural practice of Bateman Architects core value. The responsibility to design, document and deliver the best possible facility to our clients without fear or favour, with integrity, care and diligence to provide the optimal solution to their requirements, within their budget, so that they can provide their function from and within the best possible built environment.
