• First Automation Manager at the Arecibo plant.• Organized and established the Automation team to support the Fermentation, Chemical, Pharmaceutical solid dosage, Warehouse, and Utilities operations. • Lead a group of 10 to 5 Automation Engineers and contractors in the following:• Lead a project team in the integration of an AS/RS, AGV with an ERP. The only Pfizer facility that implemented this integration• Selection and implementation of automated and manufacturing equipment.• Implementation and support of process control / automation projects and the support of the Pharmaceutical Drug Product, API, Environmental Control, and Utilities operations including cost estimate, capital request, project execution, and IO/OQ/PQ• Develop and support a process control / automation master plan for the plant.• Chairperson of the Electrical Classification and Engineering Compliance Committees• Interact with internal customers, outside suppliers, and regulatory agencies• Recommend automation approaches that bring values to the manufacturing operations• Represent Engineering in the Site Validation Committee• Review / Approve validation protocols

• First Engineer to be promoted to Engineer IV at the Arecibo site• Implementation of projects at the Puerto Rico site. Responsible for CE, budgets, and schedule of the projects. Leads engineer III, II and I in this task.• In charge of the automation concepts, MES implementation, and process equipment integration for the Pharmaceutical building (DP3) manufacturing facilities project. Identify present and seek approval of the automation concept for the new facility (building). This included the selection of automated / manufacturing equipment and suppliers. Ensured that the suppliers deliver the equipment complying with automation strategy and manufacturing specifications. This required extensive negotiations (visit) with the suppliers.• Review / Approve IQ/OQ protocols
