I am a fan of technology and am interested in computers, robotics, artificial intelligence, design and 3D printing.If you look at my career path, that's probably the last thing you would think of first.I was able to gain experience and expand my skills by working as a craftsman.After 30 years, I went in the direction in which I recognize myself more.I didn't go to university or Harvard and I'm not the genius who has a solution for everything.But everyone starts small and deserves to be heard.Why am I so enthusiastic about computers, robotics and AI?Because they open up new opportunities to create wonderful things.Unfortunately, this progress is often placed in the wrong context.But didn't we all play with an RC car as children?Don't we look at our smartphone every day? Or do we talk on the phone whenever we want?Both in combination can also be misused for bad purposes. - So what's the difference?I think that this technical progress can be something special for people with disabilities, for example.Not everyone can keep a real pet for various reasons.This technology, for example, gives you the opportunity to participate, even if only in a simulated way.Now you could shake your head at that - and I get that in public.But how about simply putting yourself in the shoes of the person in question?A robot dog will never be able to replace a pet.But why does it harm us when it provides emotional support for others?We will not be able to overcome prejudices against robots and AI in the foreseeable future.But perhaps we can start to look at them from a different perspective.
