I have extensive experience in product development and manufacturing. For the last several years I have been working on medical products, and earlier in my career I was involved in aerospace, military, and consumer products. I developed a wide variety of products ranging in production volume from a few hundred per year to over 1 million per day. Most products involved injection molded plastic parts. These projects included transfer of concepts from R&D into Product Development, and Product Development into Manufacturing. I work hand in hand with the manufacturing and process development engineers, and earlier in my career I worked directly on automated manufacturing. I am proficient in Pro/Engineer and SolidWorks 3D CAD, and SignalExpress Data Acquisition software. I presently have 13 patents issued and more pending.I have a solid background in my degree discipline of mechanical engineering, and also have a keen understanding of the inter-dependency of the other disciplines involved. I have a proven talent to provide solutions to problems “outside the handbook”.
