My name is Norman Herrera. I am a hard-working and team-driven MERN developer. I recently finished a fullstack bootcamp with the University of Denver, where I learned a variety of languages and frameworks, which include but are not limited to: OOPCI/CDReact.jsNode.jsJavaScriptMongoDBPostgreSQLHTML and CSSAt times it felt like I was drinking from a firehose, but I completed it. On my own personal time, I took a React Course through Udemy which also included NEXT.js, and I'm currently taking a typescript course as well.While in bootcamp I worked on weekly assignments that can be seen on my Github page. I also completed 3 major projects, 2 of which are full stacked, 1 using React. I definitely learned a new kind of team work there, one that happened over a computer with people that you don't see physically. I am currently also working on solo projects to add to my portfolio.I do this all on my free time as I am employed full time at Costco Wholesale as a team supervisor.During my time at Costco Wholesale, I have a tremendous amount of information on how to deal with people, also on how to manage a team, and how to prepare for different trends throughout the year. I also moved into a leadership role within the company which I hold to this day. I currently live in the Bay Area, and would love to get a job local to the bay area. I am also open to a remote position. My current Goal is to get a job as a developer. I believe that with my experience on both the front end and the back end, I can be a great asset to a company in either position. My customer service skills will also make me a good fit with a team as I have learned to deal with people in stressful situations, and also deescalate tense times.Finally, I will continue to work and further sharpen my skills, and I will see you soon hopefully!
