Started as a Chief Engineer and was promoted to Director of Engineering and Security in September 2009.Director of Engineering and Security for Hyatt Centric French Quarter, a historic 220+ room property.Hiring, training, and managing both the maintenance engineering and security teams.Assisted property in three brand transitions from Chateau Sonesta by Sonesta to Chateau Bourbon by Wyndham, and finally to Hyatt Centric French Quarter.Facilitated multiple renovation projects including $2M soft goods upgrade Sonesta to Wyndham property change.Total renovation of 220+ room hotel with $20M+ budget.Installation of reverse osmosis water system for coffee service system for on-property restaurant.Effectively utilized Birch Street purchasing system for A/C, Plumbing, Painting, and Chemical needs.Reduced operational costs by converting all hallways, meeting rooms/ballrooms (fluorescent to LEDs), and 80% of the public spaces from halogens to LEDs with an estimated 6 to 9 month return on investment.Consulted for Hard Rock Cafe on fire alarm system, grill hoods, air conditioning, and basic troubleshooting.Planned, coordinated, and constructed fencing, guest stands, and portable bar at the hotel for Mardi Gras, a 1M+ public festival held in New Orleans, LA for over 200 years.All exterior had to be in compliance with requirements set by French Quarter Commission Met compliance requirements for City of New Orleans for boiler/pressure vessels licensing, fire inspections, sprinkler testing, and generator testing.
