Military pilot for 17 years in RAF then left in 1988 for senior management positions with Bombardier Aerospace in Belfast until 1995 . Started up and successfully ran own manufacturing company in England for 5 years before selling it to a competitor and returning to flying as an airline pilot in 2000. Became Base Manager at Flybe's Edinburgh base from 2005-14 and retired from flying in 2015 to take up part time lecturing in Air Transport to post graduate courses at UHI, Perth.In Nov 2015, launched new business for ground theoretical training of budding commercial pilots based in Rosyth near Edinburgh. This employs very experienced and capable staff mostly with an airline pilot background. Pathway Pilot Training in the last 7 years has grown to be one of the major ATPL ground schools with an enviable reputation of getting great exam results for both residential and DL students seeking airline jobs. EASA and CAA approved training courses. Exam Centre for ATPL exams.
