Hello! My name is Norman Feng, BSN, RN, PHN (he/him/his) and I am a Clinical Nurse II in Stanford Health Care's New Graduate Nurse Residency Program working on one of the surgical units! I am also a recent Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF). During my time at USF, I was able to engage in numerous academic programs such as the Health Studies and Gerontology minors and the Honors College. Additionally, I engaged in multiple on-campus activities at USF such as being the Group Visits Intern in the Office of Undergraduate Admission, President of the Nursing Students’ Association (NSA), Cohort Representative in the School of Nursing and Health Professions (SONHP), and member of Omicron Theta Chi Fraternity (OΘX). Additionally, I was a J. Paul Getty Scholar in USF’s Honors College and currently hold active membership to the Sigma Theta Tau (ΣΘΤ) International Honor Society of Nursing. As a new graduate, I am actively pursuing my aspirations of becoming a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Surgical Specialty. From my clinical experience at locations including California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, Kaiser Permanente San Francisco, UCSF Parnassus, San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living, and San Jose’s Muriel Wright Recovery Center SUTS/CRT, I have learned more about high-quality patient-centered care in all settings as well as understanding how to respond to any unforeseen situations with an open mind, making each patient and interprofessional encounter a learning opportunity. Additionally, using my values of dignity, respect, responsibility, integrity, teamwork, and leadership in and out of the healthcare field, I aspire to engage in continuous, life-long learning and personal/professional growth. From this, I am looking forward to bringing my skills and knowledge to a healthcare facility and its team in the future. Please feel free to connect with me through my page and contact me! I am open to receiving any advice as well as exploring different opportunities to supplement my nursing profession. Thank you!
