I host online trainings to help communities organize around prevention. Community-based prevention, to educate families in the community, BEFORE a problem can delvelop is key. It's not hard to do this! Our eWorkbook shows how the Reality Tour Parent/Child Drug Prevention Program has a role for everyone. It partners with schools, churches, businesses etc. This program fills the gap in prevention -that ignores the synergy of parent/child early co-education. Recently I developed the 12 Sector Training for prevention coalitions to fill 60 requests from the CADCA Forum. As a result of trainings and information sharing, 3 Reality Tours are opening in Wisconsin and one in Maryland! Youth appreciate the experience best summed up by a 12 yr old, "I am leaving here a different person. I didn't know drugs were THAT bad!" Parents rate the Reality Tour experience as priceless with one father stating, "These may have been the most important hours I will ever spend with my son."
