I contracted through Tek Systems as an Affiliate Design Engineer for Verizon. In this role, I managed work orders (blueprints) provided by the onsite engineers to draft plans using Microstation programs that field workers would use to complete their work. This was a fast paced environment with typical work order turn around time less than two weeks.

I managed day-to-day operations including inventory, sales, display/space planning, marketing, client relations, and the retail design center. In this role I developed a process to market to Interior Designer’s within the Indianapolis area, which was a new approach for the organization. This increased sales and customer satisfaction. I worked collaboratively with owners, builders, and interior designers to ensure accurate product delivery and quality customer care service.

I managed the daily operations of the Bassett Furniture Direct store and ensured adherence to Bassett policies & procedures for the following areas: customer service, finance, sales, management reporting, human resources, and daily operations. Assumed responsibility on opening and closing the store and managed petty cash and opening line of credit.

Key sales team member consistently outperforming sales goals. I worked collaboratively with builders, homeowners, and Interior Designers on residential and commercial projects. I managed inventory and the procurement process for suppliers and customers. I instituted several process improvements focused on delivering high quality and fast customer service. Assisted in the design staging areas for product showcasing.

In this role I developed presentation boards, managed textile inventory, and met with sales representatives on new products/lines to incorporate into stock materials library. I assisted with planning of client meetings; developed project plans to manage schedule, materials, and track material utilization.

I held various patient facing roles at Lutheran Hospital in a variety of departments including patient registration, various clinical departments including a float pool role gaining experience in departments such as medical surgical, cardiac, emergency, orthopedic, intensive care, pediatric, and mental health departments. In these roles I assisted nursing staff in the daily care patients and gained informal medical training through patient care skills check offs and required training by the hospital. This includes taking patients vital signs, checking glucoscans (blood sugars), basic care and support activities of the patient and patient transport to and from other departments. As a patient registrar, I became intimate with the workflow required to timely register a patient while providing high quality customer service. In this role I registered patients upon arrival, scheduled appointments for various departments (both inpatient and outpatient).
