From its offices in Florida and New England, the company has dealt with more than $5 billion in income property transactions. As chairman and CEO, Norton Herrick has gained a reputation as both an expert on net lease transactions and as one of the nation’s fastest acquisition closers.He also oversees the company’s film and theater financing and production division, Herrick Entertainment. Committed to providing audiences with the best in motion pictures and Broadway shows, the company has produced nine films in recent years, working with stars such as Denzel Washington, Renee Zellweger, Mark Wahlberg, and Kevin Bacon. On Broadway, Norton Herrick has produced a number of hit revivals and received a Tony Award for Best Musical Revival for his production of “Hair”.Norton Herrick’s interest in and work in the entertainment field also extends to the many philanthropic donations that he makes. Recently, he donated a collection of rare films and television programs to the School of Communication at the University of Miami (UM). The gift was intended to enhance the study of film and preserve history and culture. Featuring more than 3,000 TV programs and films, the collection is now the centerpiece of UM’s new Norton Herrick Center for Motion Picture Studies, which received additional funding from Herrick to help in digitizing the archives.
