About Nick Ostrowski

"There are two types of computer languages, 'hacker' and 'corporate'", said one of my computer science professors. He suggested that hacker languages (eg. Perl) were rapid to develop but hard to read and maintain, while corporate languages (eg. Java) were slow to develop but easy to read and maintain.After working for more than a decade as a software engineer, I feel excited about blurring this black and white notion. I want to help make corporate software development rapid, and write hacker code that is maintainable.Over the past five years I have grown in Android development. I'm enjoying developing with Kotlin and Coroutines. My past events and awards include: • 2015 - Selected participant in Udacity/Google Android Developer Career Summit in Mountainview, CA• 2014 - 1st place team at SunshinePHP hackathon • 2013 - 1st place (individual) at my company's hackathon
