The purpose of the role is to support the Portfolio Manager with the investment process through research, analysis and interpretation of listed and unlisted investment vehicles and financial instruments in South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho and Botswana. This is achieved by:- Keeping abreast of the external environment in segments we operate in- Analysis of investment portfolios and financial instruments in line with existing and potential mandates, local asset requirements and business requirements as well as ensuring asset allocation views are implemented and align with OBI (Outcomes Based Investing) views- Provide research, analysis and insight to recommend approaches on the construction and management of portfolios - Conduct ongoing research to make recommendations regarding appropriate improvements on solutions to ensure market dynamics are considered and effectively applied

The main focus of my role is, to assist Portfolio Managers in executing their investment strategies. My duties cover both investment and operational spheres of the business. I model portfolios across all asset classes (local and international),implement portfolio trades regarding to cash flow, monthly rebalancing and portfolio transitions, implement changes in asset allocation across various portfolios (Segregated mandates and Unit trusts), daily portfolio reporting, trade compliance and mandate monitoring, fund performance monitoring and reporting, adhoc client execution. Performing rebalancing calculations to ensure the fund is in line with its tactical asst allocation i.e. portfolio quantitative analysis
