My roles include fostering a supportive and trusting environment for mentees, assisting mentees in navigating academic challenges, including time management, study techniques, and accessing academic resources. I additionally provide emotional support to help mentees manage the pressures of university life and maintain their mental well-being. As a mentor, I also facilitate social integration by encouraging participation in university activities and connecting mentees with peer networks, and lastly direct mentees to appropriate campus resources, including counseling services, academic advisors, and financial aid offices. During this practice education, my co-facilitator and I conducted needs assessments to identify challenges and opportunities for enhancing the well-being of elderly residents, we collaborated with team members to conceptualize and design a community project that promoted active engagement and sustainability, and additionally facilitated group discussions and activities, fostering social interaction and a sense of belonging among residents. I also coordinated logistics and resource allocation to ensure the project's successful execution andevaluated the project's impact and gathered feedback for potential improvements.This placement enhanced my ability to address community needs through collaboration, creativity, and a holistic approach, preparing me for future roles in social work practice.
