Software Design Engineer
In my role on the PAS5500 Wafer Handling Redesign project, I was responsible for multiple phases of the project, which included redesigning, implementing, testing, and integrating new functionalities, as well as communicating with production teams.Phase 1: Redesign and Implementation • Redesigned and implemented the Machine Constant data structure to optimize system performance. • Restructured driver-level function calls for improved reliability and functionality. • Redesigned and implemented the User Interface for enhanced usability. • Designed and implemented new functions to support updated system requirements.Phase 2: Module Integration and Testing • Acted as the Module Integrator, incorporating the redesigned module into the prototype machine. • Developed and executed comprehensive test plans for the prototype machine. • Troubleshot software and hardware issues encountered during prototype testing, ensuring system stability and performance.Phase 3: Production Introduction and Communication • Served as the liaison for introducing the new design module to the LinKou Factory for production use. • Maintained close communication with Factory Production Engineers to facilitate the new module introduction. • Created and implemented a test plan for the new module, aligning with the factory’s production schedule. • Conducted hands-on training for factory members during the early phases of production to ensure a smooth transition. • Acted as the point of contact to communicate project plans and progress on issue resolution within the project team.
