As a patent examiner at USPTO for over two years, I apply my mechanical engineering knowledge and problem solving skills to review and evaluate patent applications in various fields of technology. I enjoy the challenge of assessing the novelty, usefulness, and non-obviousness of inventions, and ensuring that they comply with the legal and technical requirements of patentability.Prior to joining USPTO, I served as a team leader in the US Army for four years, where I was responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safety of a main battle tank and its crew. I gained valuable experience in leadership, communication, teamwork, and discipline, as well as a strong sense of duty and service. My military background and engineering education have equipped me with a unique combination of skills and perspectives that I bring to my current role and future endeavors.
