From a young age I had a fascination with shows that concentrated on legal matters and a sense of justice. A childish dream to become a lawyer resonated with me from a young age. As I got older, I started to realize that becoming a lawyer may not be as easy as I once thought. There were plenty of obstacles in my way, but deep down I knew if I put my blood, sweat and tears into my education, I could fulfill my dream. Through a family friend, I was introduced to a law professor, I shared my thoughts with him and it felt like he was a blessing from the skies. He was a great mentor and through all the hard times. He was the motivation until I completed six years at the Faculty of Law in Damascus became a lawyer fulfilling my childhood dream.I practiced law in Syria for 6 years specializing in family and real estate laws before moving to Canada. My enjoyment of the field helped me become a very strong person with excellent communication skills. Things have changed since I moved to Canada. I cannot practice law with my Syrian degree, but the passion of the profession still lives with me. Currently, I have been enriching my English skills at Bow Valley College, with hopes to go into the Legal Assistant program or perhaps move towards a Law Degree when the opportunity comes my way.Life requires a balance. It cannot be all work, and it cannot be all fun. Besides school, I really enjoy spending time skiing, hiking, comping and mostly outdoors. Nature helps me feel my most positive and I try to be outdoors as much as I can.Expertise: communication, problem solving, working cooperatively, conscientious, patient, attention to the details, and organization.
