I am a Junior at University of Michigan-Dearborn, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology. I am currently in Liberia, Africa doing an internship with Breakthrough Action-Liberia which is funded by John Hopkins University. As a Sociology major, I want to learn about the different cultures and to help people all across the world. Currently in my internship I am working with different communities to help educate the people of Liberia of Family Planning, Malaria, Covid-19, Hygiene, and etc.From this internship I have been learning a lot, from the different cultures, how to interact with others, and how to use different types of systems that I have never heard of before. It has grown my knowledge in the Health Care system and how to make a difference that will last a lifetime.
