My thesis is on the subject of data visualization recommendation. Data visualization is the representation of data or information in a visual format including charts. It communicates relationships of the data, identifies trends and patterns to be more easily seen. Since the aim of the data analysis is to gain insights, data becomes far more valuable when visualized. Despite the variety of data visualization tools available on the market, creating "interesting" charts is still an overwhelming task. Hence, our proposed system relies on an existing data visualization recommendation system along with a blacklist generated from the user's profile. The recommendation list is, thus, personalized based on user-explicit preferences.
