My name is Nouri Bennett, and I am a senior at Oregon State University. I am majoring in Merchandising Management. I chose my major based on the 7 years of retail and customer service experience that I’ve gained within the apparel industry. This has given me skills in both customer communication, merchandising and apparel retail standards. I’m currently gaining my skills in fashion editorial writing and trend research through working in DAMChic Fashion Magazine on campus. I also am the Public Communications director for the Black Student Union on campus which has allowed me to gain more skills in connecting and building relationships with students and other clubs on campus, but also with the outside community such as vendors for events and schools outside of OSU. My goal is to be able to use not only my passion and experience for apparel and design, but also have a creative outlet and showcase my talents to build positive company and brand relations.
