I am a Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology having qualified in 2009. I am a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC and a Chartered the British Psychological Society.I have expertise in working on personality disorder, initally working and progressing to operational lead of a MBT community personality disorder. I have previously worked in community forensic and probation services for offenders with personality disorder with a key part of the role being consultation and training. I am an Anna Freud accedited MBT Supervisor.I am currently the psychology lead for complex emotional needs. I have oversight of three cross borough services ensuring evidenced based psychological intervention. In addition a key part of the role is development of a pathway of care from GP to specialist services.Prior to my current role I have worked extensively in the NHS since 2001 gaining experience of individual and group interventions with children, adolescents and adults in inpatient and community settings. I have worked with a range of emotional difficulties including; stress, anxiety, panic, depression , anger difficulties, low self-esteem, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, eating disorder, self-harm, substance use difficulties and psychotic disorders including schizophrenia.Through training and clinical practice I have skills in a range of psychological models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mentalisation Based Treatment (MBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Assessment and intervention are tailored to meet the needs of the client and their presenting difficulty.I have lectured on the doctoral training course for Clinical Psychologists at Canterbury Christ Church University and the Clinical Forensic Masters programme at the Institute of Psychiatry and the University of Surrey.
