With over 24 years of experience in academia, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my current role as the Director of Library Services, Instructional Designer for Online Teaching and Learning, and Canvas Learning Management System Administrator at Mountain Gateway Community College. In this multifaceted position, I oversee a diverse array of responsibilities, including managing library services, coordinating a testing center, and writing center, and spearheading campus-wide online instruction training initiative. Moreover, I am deeply involved in teaching freshman college success courses and an introduction to computers course, actively engaging with students to facilitate their academic growth and success.My approach to online instructional design is characterized by a nuanced hybrid methodology that integrates best practices in online learning pedagogy with a strong emphasis on relationship building.
