One of the country’s largest art centers, GoggleWorks welcomes over 250,000 visitors annually for arts education, studio access, exhibitions, and related public programming. While in the role of Marketing Manager and then Director, I led a comprehensive rebranding initiative to refine visual standards, develop an authentic artistic philosophy and core values, and identify target audiences—with the overarching focus on improving visitor experience, both virtually and onsite. Ultimately this work served as a catalyst to launch a new website and key print communications, as well as a redesign of our lobby and visitor information desk. I worked with outside vendors as well as managed a small internal team to implement new marketing, social media, communications, and public outreach strategies. Working in tandem with the Chief Programs Officer, I was instrumental in the successful launch of new programs, public events, and community partnerships; increasing program revenue by 48% and dropping the course cancellation rate from 62% to 18% in one year—the same in which GoggleWorks closed a $400k deficit.

Under Hilary Jay, I managed the DesignPhiladelphia Festival during 2013, 2014, and 2015. Each year, the Festival attracted over 25K attendees to 120+ citywide events and reaches millions through its social media and marketing campaign - garnering traditional and digital media coverage by the likes of The New York Times, WHYY, Metropolis Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Magazine, and ABC News. While in this role, I gained invaluable experience in brand management, communication design, curating and marketing public arts and culture programs, negotiating media partnerships, developing successful fundraising events, and collaborating with vendors and outside agencies.In October 2015, I served as program manager and curatorial committee member for Pearl Street Passage, a creative placemaking project that included a temporary installation to imaginatively transform the Pearl Street alleyway into an outdoor gallery and public gathering space. The project and its complimentary programming, was produced in partnership with Asian Arts Initiative and Friends of the Railpark was funded by ArtPlace America and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
