WTMS is a shared services company providing IT, Finance, Business Systems and HR services to organisations in the WPP Group.WPP is the largest Advertising, Media and Marketing services organisation globally with around 130,000 staff.I joined WTMS from another WPP engineering company at a time when the company experienced huge growth. As part of the management team we grew the company from a single building IT department to an engineering team of over 100.As Head of Operations and Engineering I was responsible for the Infrastructure technology and staff. I led a team of 11 engineers that maintained the infrastructure supporting many WPP agencies in the UK and across Europe as well as some global IT services.That team provided 3rd line support to the end-user Servicedesks as well as Incident and Problem Management for our infrastructure. We also designed and delivered a high volume of Infrastructure projects - Directory, messaging, storage and backup deployments and migrations.I was responsible for the financial management and recharge models for multiple IT Services as well as the day-to-day financial running of my team.As well as team leadership and business management responsibilities I was "hands-on" with Cisco networks, NetApp and IBM XIV storage, HP Servers, Active Directory, Tivoli Management and ServiceNow.
