In de rol van Talentmanager bij OchtendMensen begeleid ik jonge professionals in hun persoonlijke en professionele ontwikkeling. Ik begeleid opleidingsdagen op het gebied van persoonlijke effectiviteit, voorkeursstijlen in gedrag en communicatie (DISC), presentatievaardigheden, vitaliteit en mentale gezondheid en ondernemend adviseren. Ook coach ik gedurende het driejarige opleidingstraject de jonge professionals die bij OchtendMensen werkzaam zijn in een-op-een gesprekken. Daarnaast richt ik me op het continu verbeteren en verder ontwikkelen van ons opleidingsaanbod. Om dit aanbod blijvend aan te laten sluiten op hetgeen gevraagd wordt in de markt, de rollen waarin onze jonge professionals werkzaam zijn en leerthema's van de groep. Over OchtendMensen: Wij zijn OchtendMensen. Wij zijn de jonge professionals van organisatieadviesbureau TwynstraGudde. Wij zetten resultaten neer binnen de grote maatschappelijke thema’s van nu en de toekomst: Zorg & Gezondheid, Klimaat & Duurzaamheid, Bestuur & Samenleving, Ruimte & Leefomgeving en Onderwijs. Wij werken bij verschillende opdrachtgevers in rollen als projectmanager, adviseur, secretaris, omgevingsmanager. Wij maken gebruik van de kennis en kunde van TwynstraGudde en van ons opleidingstraject in adviseren, projectmanagement en persoonlijk leiderschap. Zo ontwikkelen we onszelf én onze omgeving.

Two year master program focused on analyzing and solving complex, multi stakeholder, problems in the health and life-sciences area. Specialization: Health & Life Sciences-based Management and Entrepreneurship Followed courses in the field of: year 1: 'Research methods for analyzing complex problems', 'Analysis of governmental policy', 'Communication, organization and management', 'Innovation, behavior and economy', 'Business management', and 'Ethics in life sciences'. year 2: 'Managing science and technology in society', Management of Corporate Social Responsibility', and 'Management of innovative technologies in community based healthcare'. Literature thesis on 'Business motives to engage in Corporate Social Responsibility' at the Athena Institute of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

My job as student information officer consisted of two tasks. First, as student information officer I shared my experiences about the study Gezondheidswetenschappen (Health Sciences) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam with high school students. For one day, students participated in my courses, I showed them the university campus, and provided them information about studying at the VU university and being a student in Amsterdam. Second, as student information officer, I presented some facts about the bachelor program and my study experiences during open days of the VU university (lecture halls and stands) and during career events at high schools.

As member of the curriculum committee of the bachelor program gezondheidswetenschappen (health sciences) I represented the students' vision on the courses in the bachelor program. I participated in the designing process of the bachelor program, making decisions about the inclusion of courses and guarding the students' interests.

Three year bachelor program focus on quantitative and qualitative research methods, health and diseases, organization of care facilities in the Netherlands ranging from care organizations to healthcare insurances, and the societal aspects of health and healthcare research. Followed courses in the field of: year 1: Anatomy and physiology, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Genes, DNA, Cells, Psychology, Immunology, Neuronal and hormonal regulation, Health economics, Qualitative research, and Cardiovascular and respiratory systems.year 2: Sociology of health and illness, Geriatrics, Nutrition and health, Pharmacology and pharmacotherapy, Prevention, Environmental toxicology and infectious diseases, Epidemiology and biostatistics, Advanced qualitative research, and Health economics.year 3: Innovation management, Advanced epidemiology and biostatistics, and minor programMinor: Biomedical and Health Interventions at VU university, including the following courses: Future challenges in global health, Key strategies in disabilities and neuropathy, Infectious diseases and vaccine development, Clinical trials and healthcare, and Tailoring Medicine and telemedicine.

Internship as part of my second year Master program. The upcoming 6 months, I will support the advisors of Andersson Elffers Felix during several projects focussing on various complex societal problems. In addition, I will conduct a qualitative research on citizen initiatives and professional care dynamics in two Dutch neighborhoods.

Research Internship concerning my Master program specialization 'Health and Life Sciences-based Management and Entrepreneurship'. The subject of the study was related to the EPA Vignetten study Amsterdam. During a period of 6 months a qualitative study was conducted on the establishment of 'care arrangements' for persons with severe mental disorders in the Amsterdam region. During this study, I interviewed several key players in the Amsterdam mental healthcare field varying from mental healthcare organizations, patient interest groups and the municipality of Amsterdam. Next to the interviews, observations and a focus group was conducted. The study resulted in a report on the organization of 'care arrangements' for persons with severe mental illness which contributed to integral care organization for this patient group. This research internship gave me the possibility to apply my theoretical knowledge of analyzing and solving complex problems in a field I was yet unfamiliar with, namely the Dutch mental healthcare. During the study, I learned to manage my own tasks and responsibilities as well as to contribute to an end-goal while collaborating with multiple stakeholders in the field.

During a period of 3 months I conducted a research concerning my Bachelor program 'Health Sciences'. The subject of the study was related the the acceptance of technologies in healthcare practice. I conducted a qualitative study, using semi-structured interviews, on the acceptance of a functional care robot (washing robot) by caregivers and nurses in the Netherlands. This research internship gave me the possibility to apply my theoretical knowledge on innovation management and biomedical and health interventions in the research field. During the study I improved my qualitative research skills and contributed to a PhD study on the acceptance of functional care robots in care practice.

As patient care assistant at Avoord I had the opportunity to experience the day-to-day care activities and organizational structures in elderly care practice. Everything I experienced and learned at Avoord is still valuable in my master program. It enables me to translate the practical experience into the approach for assignments and serves as valuable background information while studying. My activities can be defined as doing 'some extra' for the clients of the organization, for instance going for a walk, grocery shopping, playing games, and having a chat. Nowadays, it becomes increasingly difficult for the general care providers to make time for this little extra personal attention. Therefore, I was very grateful to provide that personal attention and it was great to see that this had positive effects on the elderly as well.

As Treasurer of the 2013 - 2014 board of Study association Salus (BSc health sciences, VU university), I was responsible for the financials and direction of the study association. During that year, I build on my social skills and gained governance experience. Furthermore, on behalf of the board, I was leading the study trip committee.
