I spent a summer working in Ohio for Oculii Corp., a venture-backed hardware startup that develops precise 4-D radar sensors to accurately track moving targets for autonomous vehicle and traffic control applications. As an intern for this fast-paced company, I completed various tasks that ranged from writing driver firmware to field testing radar sensors over highways. One of my initial tasks was to develop a C# program to parse RF data collected by the radar and visually display the surrounding vehicles on a GUI application for clients to see. I also worked on programing FPGA chips and Raspberry Pis to stream data efficiently between devices. Working with the Senior Engineers, I helped Q.A. test and validate the embedded systems to ensure reliability and accuracy of the product, especially when used in the field. Additionally I drafted schematic and PCB layouts using Altium to verify and simulate circuit designs, as well as soldering and testing these circuit prototypes.
