Provide support to the staff of Pediatric Associates as a locum tenens APRN, ensuring excellent patient outcomes by delivering quality preventative care during well child visits and implementing compassionate, evidence based care during acute sick visits.

• Provide excellence in education in a collegial, caring and diverse fashion while adhering to policies, procedures and standards expected by the College and external regulating agencies.• Collaborate with faculty to develop, revise and modernize curriculum for the RN-BSN Nursing program to ensure competency and consistency across each cohort.• Attend training opportunities to ensure growth and development of course curricula, evaluation techniques and maintain appropriate credentials.

• Deliver quality preventative care during well child visits and implement the compassionate management of acute illness and chronic conditions to children aged infant to young adults within an underserved population. • Provide nutrition and exercise counseling to overweight and obese children as well as their parents to prevent chronic conditions from developing in the future.• Order, interpret and relay lab results and radiograph images to patients while acting as a care manager ensuring all specialty notes are received and up to date.

• Provide in home health evaluations to Medicare and disabled Medicaid patients.• Assess the patient’s need for assistance completing ADLs and IADLs, and place referrals when appropriate to coordinate this care.• Evaluate the patient’s home safety status, if an urgent situation is found in the home I am able to immediately contact a case manager to intervene. • Assess for the presence of discrepancies and gaps in care, making recommendations to ensure patient’s are properly managed according to the recommendations for their disease state.

• Provide compassionate care in a fast paced, high volume private urgent care within an underserved community.• Obtain complete medical history of each patient seen including current medications, allergies, social history, medical conditions, past surgeries and family history.• Perform complete exams for patients requiring school and work physicals, while completing focused physical exams of patients presenting with acute illness or injury.• Order and analyze bloodwork, imaging and other tests to aide clinical decision making when formulating a treatment regimen and care plan for the patient.

• Use clinical judgment to prioritize, assess and implement nursing interventions that allow for successful management in the care of Obstetric and Gynecologic patients. • Discuss abnormal test results with patients and provide education regarding medical terms, treatment, procedures and prevention of future abnormalities. • Apply practice policy and procedures with critical thinking to submit prescriptions, provide guidance to patients in an array of gynecologic situations, and recognize patients in emergent conditions to refer to a higher acuity of care.

• Provide quality direct patient care by implementing the nursing process while including the patient and family to develop mutual goals. • Continuously evaluate patient conditions and utilize critical thinking skills to prevent and manage emergent situations.• Effectively manage time and resources to ensure the safe completion of patient care responsibilities and tasks.

• Develop assessment skills and assist with the planning and implementation of care plans while under the supervision of a preceptor Registered Nurse. • Collaborate with a Registered Nurse to organize priorities and perform various procedures.• Develop positive relationships by supporting patients and their families through providing empathetic and unbiased care.

• Effectively maintained and inspected Hazardous Materials storage areas at multiple locations ensure compliance of state and federal regulations.• Established and organized files and records essential to the Hazardous Materials Regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency and emergency response systems.
