Leading and building data science and machine learning based large scale engineering solutions in the area of Flow and Inventory Optimisations to support Walmart’s End 2 End fulfilment operations

Leading high performance data engineering teams in building data intensive business critical initiatives for Walmart Replenishment System's to drive operational and cost efficiency. Building Data Science driven demand forecasting platform using innovative architectural approaches by leveraging cloud native capabilities on Azure and GCP. Cloud native capability helped scale forecasting platform to be able to deploy to multiple international markets of WM, thus helping business use better forecasting system which drove improved on shelf availability and reduce wastage.

Building a massive data engineering system using Apache Spark and Airflow for a Demand Forecasting System, an integral and critical part of Walmart's Supply Chain system. This system enables business in reducing wastage and at the same time ensures on shelf item availability for customers. Ultimately helping Walmart save several millions of dollars in wastage at the same time maintained a greater customer satisfaction.Apache spark was used for Data processing and feature engineering with Apache Airflow complemented the solution in orchestrating and scheduling the massive data pipeline jobs.

We enabled business to achieve the same by enabling them with accurate and quality data in-time. As part of Data & Analytics group my role was to build solutions which empower Walmart business with Right and InTime Data. In this position my role was to build a data analytics platform for various products in Sourcing domain. Sourcing is a very vast area in Retail, ranges from Costing to Sourcing to Quality. Single percent reduction in defective returns would mean in several millions for walmart's scale. The platform will empower sourcing managers with right insights which will enable them in decision making. Built on Micro services architecture where Apache Spark and Elastic are complementing the overall solution.

As part of Data & Analytics group my role is to build solutions which empower Walmart business with Right and InTime Data. In this duration my focus was on driving initiatives and developping solutions for Ad-Hoc querying on large data sets. Worked closely with business to understand process and business use cases, Built data analytics platform capable of handling large data sets which then enabled business with great insights - right and accurate data in-time helping them to take business actions much quicker.

I was part Cloud and Virtualization Group, worked on building next gen Management suite. Prime Network Integration Layer: Project exposes data from EMS in MTOSI/3GPP standard based North Bound Interfaces which will be consumed by OSS for integrating EMS with any OSS product. Worked on Fault detection application which would learn and predict the failure patterns in Data Center and other network applications. Tech stack used during the period Apache Camel, Hadoop, Mahout, CXF, JMS.

Prime Network Integration Layer: Project exposes data from EMS in MTOSI/3GPP standard based North Bound Interfaces which will be consumed by OSS for integrating EMS with any OSS product. This project is developed on SOA architecture using Apache Karaf, Camel ,CXF, JMS.

Project: Server @Once IntelligenceSAI is a Customer Experience Management application, provides operator to learn about the failures in the network, and a detailed analysis report on the network status. Played role of lead developer involving designing and developing of distributed applications backed by Java, Hadoop M/R, MongoDb, Redis, Hazelcast.Project : NetAct - TransportThis project is a Network Management System (NMS) which manages network elements in transport segment.Application manages SDH/PDH, Optical, and DWDM networks from different vendors. I played a critical role from the scratch of the project from setting up the machines, to designing the architecture of the sub system and implementation along with practicing aglile principles . Java, EJB, hibernate, oracle, JSF, java script were the core competencies used in the product development life cycle.Project : TNMSProject called TNMS which is a Network Management System (NMS) to manages network elements in transport segment. The application manages SDH/PDH network and supported full FCAPS functionality. I played a role of application developer, database designing and tools like core java, jboss, hibernate and oracle were used.Project: Access Core IntegratorsThis was an EMS application to manage network elements in access segment. Application had all the FCAPS supported. Operator could manage hid network elements and was able to view the topology of the network elements. First assignment of my career. started from C++ bug fixes and till java swing bug fixes and small component development
