Function as the Overall Responsible Operator and Operator in Charge for the City of Brantford Water Treatment system. Responsible for the overall operation, setting operation parameters and process controls for the water treatment process. Respond to alarms generated by the SCADA network. Reviews SCADA for compliance purposes and reports any non-compliance issues immediately. Provide functional supervision for the other operator and any additional support called in. Completes detailed and accurate entries into the logbook. Makes all adjustments to the system including flow, pressure, chemical dosages, etc. Maintains records of all adjustments made to the process. Optimizes plant performance. Conducts tests for various water quality parameters to ensure treatment process is operating within MECP and operational guidelines.
