MEO is committed to maintaining a top-tier mobile network and aims to ensure that the devices connected to it provide the same high quality and availability. Mobile Certification:A poor device can lead to a negative network experience for the customer and, to prevent this, we test and certify new mobile devices before they are released to the market, collaborating directly with mobile device manufacturers (under NDA), reporting issues to be addressed in new software releases. During this procurement and negotiation processes, our team ensure timely certification for market launch.QoS Monitoring and Final Technical Support Line:After certification and release to market, our work continues with software maintenance releases during all the device lifecycle (usually two years under manufacturer warranty).New software updates are tested before they are released for customer device update via FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air), preventing negative impacts.All device performance kpi's are monitored on the mobile network to address eventual issues.Additionally, we serve as the last line of customer support (for expertise, more complex cases and the ones requiring special assistance from the manufacturer).App Testing:Altice and MEO's mobile apps (MEO Cloud, MEO WiFi, MEO GO, and MEO Drive) are also tested on the most representative devices prior to new software releases. This ensures that new device software does not negatively affect our apps and services.Other Projects:As part of MEO's RAN division, we participate in various mobile network projects from a terminal point of view. Being integrated into the international Altice Group, we collaborate with other telcos like SFR, aiming to create value and contribute with our expertise in mobile device testing and certification.
