The development and maintenance of British Standards on the digital definition, representation, presentation and exchange of information and knowledge in the construction industry.2. Shadowing and contributing to the work of International committees (primarily ISO/TC/59/SC13 and ISO/TC/10/SC8).3. Monitoring the work of International organizations that provide input to Standards developments.The outputs of the B/555 committee later became the UK Standards PAS1192 Parts 2, 3, and 4 which have defined structure for collaborative engineering and asset management both in the UK and globally. This standard formed the basis of the UK government's public sector BIM Mandate for 2016 and the resultant BIM Task Group which has played a major role in driving standards-based collaborative working through UK supply chains. -
Sailing Bum / YachtmasterFlying Fish May 2002 - Sep 2002Spent some time remotely whilst setting up a software business (Asite) and pursuing my Yachtmaster Ocean qualification from the Royal Yachting Association, sailing in the Solent off the south coast of England, several channel passages, sailing in the Med from Vassiliki, Greece, and culminating in an Atlantic crossing from Bordeaux, France to Annapolis, Maryland via the Azores and a serious bust-up with mother nature when Hurricane Gustav found our boat several hundred miles north of Bermuda! I recommend it to anyone. :)
