Developer on Site Reliability Engineering scrum team. I work in a DevOps type role to ensure monitoring is useful for both developers and operations. Our team has a strong focus on automation and making sure monitoring is integrated for all application deployments.Work accomplishments:- Developed React UI for creating Prometheus alerts. Includes real time syntax validation, easy alert routing, metadata populated from ServiceNow, and quality gates for preventing spammy alerts. Alerts are automatically synchronized across multiple Prometheus clusters. Leveraged by our entire organization for full self-service Prometheus alerting.- Created sophisticated CICD pipeline used to manage over 50 Prometheus clusters. Deployments are fully integrated with Grafana & Thanos, monitored by a separate Prometheus cluster, configured with AWS ELB or K8s ingress, and added to our host documentation on Confluence. Configuration files are validated on pull requests to prevent bad configs from being deployed. One button click can configure/upgrade every cluster one by one, validating each deployment and stopping the process if there are any issues.- Developed multiple Go & Java Spring microservices which run on Docker/Kubernetes- Enhanced Go & Java microservice SDKs to expose metrics used for alerting and visualization- Contributed to multiple open source projects- Performed numerous monitoring training sessions with operations and developers

Worked as part of the Monitor & Control team on software used to monitor DIRECTV’s content delivery. Expanded DIRECTV’s monitoring capabilities by integrating cloud deployment tool CliQr into DIRECTV’s monitoring software. Created a Groovy script which makes parallel REST requests to CliQr and parses the returned data.
