-Lutheran Medical Center was an academic teaching hospital in Brooklyn that grew into a "system" called Lutheran HealthCare. I played a vital role in guiding the rebranding, public relations, and marketing efforts surrounding the change-Coordinated publicity efforts in national and local news media, including multilingual news (Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Yiddish, Arabic) to increase medical center profile and attract top level staff-Regularly consulted with CEO, trustees, senior medical staff, and center of excellence chairpersons to create high level white papers, fact sheets, and government testimonies (Medicaid, Medicare, health reform, health technology, EMR, fiduciary responsibilities, liability, etc.)-Organized press efforts with outside government and corporate agencies such as HRSA, WHO, Greater New York Hospital Association, Healthcare Association of New York State, biotech sector, and national associations dealing with stroke, heart, cancer, organ donation, and the reshaping of health policy-Garnered national consumer press and health care industry recognition for the medical center's comprehensive cultural competence program which laid the groundwork for today's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives
