With the growing threats to firms today, we need to begin to ensure our firms have the required focus on security and continuity for our firms. Previously, I focused on a broad range of day-to-day IT functions here at Halff, along with security and traditional IT Disaster Recovery needs. In my new role, I will begin creating a new dedicated group focused on improving the security at Halff and formalizing many of our already good practices regarding Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity. I will continue to be involved throughout IT but have the luxury of focusing on getting Halff into the best compliance and business continuity posture.

Being a part of a growing company means growing an IT team to keep up with the needs of the business. Halff is a place where opportunity exists to try new things and improve on old ideas. We have come a long way in the time I have been able to be a part of the team. At this point, we have seen the separation of our development efforts grow into a production team with nine full-time members. Our Infrastructure leads have morphed into a seven-person Operations group, and Support is a multi-site effort now with seasoned experts. Now a new Security group has been formed, securing and ensuring we continue to progress toward improved compliance. CMMC is the future for Engineering Firms, and assisting us to reach that goal is a new passion of mine.

Providing technology leadership to assist in melding the company's business directives with our technology resources and direction. Working with the firm's management team and then developing solutions to meet the business goals with a balanced approach to cost and capabilities for the firms production teams. This includes the budgeting, negotiations and acquisitions of all equipment and services for the entire enterprise.Management of three distinct IT groups consisting of Development, Infrastructure and Support. Utilizing a form of the Agile project planning methodology we balance many types of development projects across our developers simultaneously. We develop GIS related hosted websites, iOS applications, custom web and standalone apps for both internal and external clients. The Infrastructure group ensures connectivity and redundancy for 12 offices data and general communication needs, focusing on creating solutions that maximize collaboration and flexibility while keeping costs in line with corporate business needs. Tiered Support provides general desktop support, internal and external consultation, improving the working tools and environment to maximize the productivity of the Halff employee.

Participated in the scoping, planning and development of a custom kiosk providing internet access at retail shopping malls. Oversaw the implementation of a network of T1 connected kiosks throughout the malls and the day to day management of the equipment. Managed the development of a custom browser that monetized the users browsing by displaying rotating static and streaming media related ads during the browsing session.
