Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to identify and address postpartum complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and pre- eclamptic issues.Complete newborn assessment and newborn care such as necessary blood work, jaundice screening, phototherapy care, and management while in the well-newborn nurseryAct as Charge Nurse multiple shifts per month task included: Managing admissions & discharges. Organize nurse roster with patient census & supervising and encouraged nurses in their work. Troubleshoot issues on the unit.

Coordinate with physicians to create standardized workflows to improve daily efficiencies.Manage adult unit through maintaining workflows by delegating tasks and creating daily schedules, in which 6 medical assistants coincide with 5 physicians' scheduled hours.Work in collaboration with the NYS Department of Health in clinical quality improvement projects in order to reach goals for clinical indicators such as STD reporting and Diabetes A1C screening.

Patient Care Responsibilities: PPD Placement, Flu Vaccines, Biometric Measurement, Glucose Measurement. Educated patients in biometric and diabetic care.
