  I love to draw. In fact, I was an art major at Missouri Southern specializing in painting and printmaking. But in college I discovered that I also really enjoyed technical drawing and took several classes in AutoCad and technical illustration. Painting was not going to pay the bills in the small town I grew up in so I began working as a draftsperson for a local engineering firm who introduced me to real world hand drafting (yes, with a scriber set!) and AutoCad on the large digitizers. A couple of years later we moved to Kansas City and I began working for Larson Binkley who provided my training in the field of Plumbing Design. I love expressing on paper how plumbing can have a real impact on the human experience within a building. I have designed plumbing systems in restaurants, schools, retails stores, office buildings, banks and several other types of buildings for the past 24 years and I love doing it. I also perform quality control review as well as daily management of the plumbing department.
