CurrentDuties and responsibilities include leading a dynamic regionally based lobbying team on behalf of the equipment manufacturing industry. Coordination of all state level advocacy efforts to advance the association’s policy priorities. Lobbying directly to state legislators and high-level executive branch officials to promote and protect the equipment manufacturing industry. Identifying and developing strategies where the association will invest in legislative initiatives. Obtain, monitor, and manage AEM's contract lobbyists and consultants at the state level. Plan, coordinate, and implement efforts to raise the profile of the association and the equipment manufacturing industry among state business groups, industry organizations, coalitions, and other key stakeholders. Working with the association’s regulatory, compliance, and safety function to align and coordinate legislative and regulatory efforts at the state level. Function as the leading staff liaison for national legislative organizations to promote the equipment manufacturing industry’s legislative agenda, including RSLC, DLCC, NASDA, and Ag America.• In 2024, led and coordinated a 300% increase in state level engagement. • Led the efforts to successfully defend the equipment manufacturing industry against onerous legislation during 2024 Wisconsin session. • Created a new nexus of legislative and regulatory advocacy to promote and protect the equipment manufacturing industry in California.
