Managed a staff of 20 analytical development chemists, technical data reviewers, lab support, and administrative personnel at two sites.Led the successful completion of over 25 development projects and filing of over 15 ANDA submissions (molecules) to the TPD, FDA and EU in CTD format, including several ‘first to files’.Directly involved with global R&D team; provided consultation to partnering international affiliates in Spain, Ireland, Australia, UK and USA with respect to product development and site transfers.Provided chemistry expertise to all new product developments, with emphasis on analytical and formulation development: drug chemistry, stabilization, excipient compatibility and impurity identification.Overhauled laboratory personnel structure, enhanced documentation workflow and introduced new technologies to improve product testing throughput by 300%.Oversaw physico-chemical analysis of raw materials and finished products in development: by HPLC, GC, LC-MS, Karl Fischer, Particle Size (Laser diffraction), UV, IR, & Dissolution.Strong knowledge of ICH, FDA, TPD, USP, EP/BP drug substance/product guidelines and regional regulatory requirements.

Managed a team of 6 analytical post-doc chemists and graduate students in the design and implementation of novel high throughput screening assays of relevant biological drug targets.Trained new staff on scientific instrumentation and supervised their individual progress in order to assure success in multiple research projects.Conducted research on small molecule sensors and screening assays based on the immobilization of DNA aptamers and proteins; filed two patents.Developed assays and protocols for protein kinase and DNA aptamer microarray technology; facilitated model systems toward high throughput primary drug screens and secondary drug screen validation.Analyzed leading scientific literature as a means of improving research impact and progress efficiency.
