Architectural Services: I collaborate with my colleagues on the design of new projects so that they have the quality and character consistent with the principles exemplified by the firm. I also perform code research for new projects to help define the parameters in which we will be designing. Schematic Design often includes the manifestation of multiple design concepts from different members and ends with the production of a proposed design within the stated budget. I also complete project cost estimates, as well as drawings and specifications for permitting and construction. I enjoy working with contractors through collaboration and communication throughout construction administration to achieve the best possible product. Building relationships is the key to success, whether with owners and clients or with contractors, consultants and subcontractors. If the team doesn't work well together, then the quality of the project can be jeopardized.
