The scale of these projects varied from several hundred square foot renovation work at the smallest to a 277,000 square foot ground-up residential building at the largest. Worked through all stages of project completion from feasibility studies through construction administration and close-out. Interfaced with clients directly during both design and construction, coordinated with contractors and design build subcontractors, and worked with AHJs to satisfy design review requirements and permit applications. Specialized in accessible design per ADA, CBC, IBC, and FHA which lead to serving on the Accessibility Advocate team which provided accessibility education to colleagues, contractors and clients; distilled accessibility codes into a firm-wide technical resource manual; performed project reviews to ensure accessibility requirements were met; coordinated with outside accessibility consultants and regulatory agencies to maintain up to date information for the firms benefit; and worked to bridge the gap between code requirements and appliances and fixtures available on the market to find the best solution for each project.
