- On-site plant engineer responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of the plant utility systems and some process systems: Boiler feed water, steam & condensate, thermal fluid, cooling water, refrigeration, instrument air, nitrogen, waste water and BTEX removal- Proactively identified and addressed issues in plant systems through data analysis and interfacing with operations teams. Worked with maintenance, operations, engineering, and management to select best path forward to resolve issues - Primary process representative in sitewide unit HAZOP validation, with the goal of reviewing cumulative changes from small MOC’s to identify gaps and safeguards required to bring risk/consequence ranking into compliance with current company standards- Initiated and stewarded the MOC process to ensure temporary or permanent changes in responsible areas met ABSA and APEGA obligations; proposed and reviewed various options, interfaced with site stakeholders, organized and led required HAZID’s, completed post execution QA/QC checks, issued RFI’s as required, and ensured all Professional Work Products (PWP’s) as-built when project closed. - On smaller projects, directly responsible for entire MOC execution from start to finish: found vendors, obtained quotes, produced process PWP’s as required, and interfaced with mechanical/piping design team to develop and review construction packages- Provided technical input to complex scope of work packages for third party contractors (acid wash of scaled equipment, pyrophoric catalyst removal, chemical cleaning of distillation columns and attached piping, etc.) and acted as technical oversight during execution- Completed internal inspections on process equipment during outages and recommended repairs or further analysis as required
