Focused on studying the relationship between lysosomes and synaptic plasticity, I developed a new method to demonstrate that lysosomes in neuronal dendrites redistribute in an activity-dependent manner. I also organized multiple collaborations with other labs to establish a pipeline for adding mass spectrometry proteomics to our research methodology. I also mentored 7 undergraduate students and 2 graduate students.Techniques:- Developed stable cell lines- Primary neuronal cell culture and CHO, HEK, BHK, Human Fibroblast cell culture- Virus Production (AAV, Lenti, Sindbis)- Biochemistry: Western blot/IP, protein and organelle purification, molecular cloning, PCR- Transfections (electroporation, calcium phosphate, lipofectamine)- Confocal Microscopy (live and fixed cell imaging)- Immunostaining- Large batch data analysis in Excel and GraphPad Prism
