ENGIE acquired Fenix in 2018 and in 2020 combined us with two other entities to create the largest energy access focused business in Africa. The Mozambican subsidiary is EEA’s 6th launched in 2019 with the goal of delivering clean energy and financial services to 600,000 people by 2023. Key Responsibilities- Co-founded subsidiary- Responsible for division goal setting, executing to budget, financial model maintenance and revision, and supporting strategy and data analysis for all department pillars- Manage staff of 4 direct reports and 40 incremental subordinates across 5 verticals (Imports Clearing & Logistics, Production & Warehousing, Technical Team, Stores & Service, Strategy Team)Selected Accomplishments- As Operations Lead, built Mozambique operations department in 2.5 months, achieving launch of the subsidiary against an aggressive market entry timeline. As a result, we grew revenues to $1M in first 6 months and operations platform can now support $1M in monthly revenues- Led aggressive expansion of service centers - 22 locations <1 year – across 5 provinces and 3000km in a country with poor infrastructure and complex bureaucracy- Revamped sales team training to adapt the business to the wide geographic distribution of the country by launching an apprenticeship style program with virtual learning and centralized testing. The program reduced training costs by >50% and is now being adopted in other EEA subsidiaries

Fenix is focused on providing solar home systems on credit to those making less than $2 per day in rural Sub-Saharan Africa. Fenix manufactures, sells, and services small solar home systems. Fenix operated in 3 countries with over 700 employees and 400,000 customers prior to acquisition. - Increased sales volumes 200% in Ivory Coast by working with Executive Team through an internal consulting project to reorganize the business, provide financial model support, and innovate on last mile strategy & execution- Bridged my institutional finance knowledge with on-the-ground realities in Uganda to launch an improved savings program and implemented Financial Literacy Training (300+ Ugandans trained) ahead of ENGIE’s acquisition of Fenix International. New savings program allowed local employees to save their once in a lifetime acquisition payouts in safe and modern investment vehicles and led to improvements in staff retention post acquisition
